Two Classic Mercedes Electric Conversions Take Shape

Today’s workshop walk-around highlights just how important quality engineering and fabrication are when converting classic vehicles to electric.

John and Kienan, are currently fabricating custom brackets for two classic Mercedes-Benz conversions:

• A 1973 Mercedes-Benz 350 SLC from Queensland
• A 1974 Mercedes-Benz 250C from Tasmania

Both vehicles are being fitted with our eKit 5, delivering approximately 750 Nm of torque directly to the rear wheels. Each conversion will also feature a 60 kWh battery pack, distributed between the front and rear of the vehicle to make the best use of the available space and support balanced weight distribution.

There are a few additional upgrades planned for both cars, which we’ll reveal as the builds progress.
