Friday Workshop Walk-Around: Jaguar E-Type Electric Conversion

This Friday Workshop Walk-Around takes us behind the scenes of one of the classics currently being transformed in the Australian EVS workshop, a Jaguar E-Type electric conversion.

Kienan walks us through the project as the E-Type is repowered using our eKit 5 electric drive system, paired with a 60kWh battery pack.

At this stage of the build, the focus is on the controls, integration and setup that bring all the different elements of the conversion together. From the electric drivetrain and dash display through to the vehicle’s existing systems, everything needs to communicate correctly and operate reliably as one complete package.

It’s a great look at the work that happens behind the scenes of a classic EV conversion — combining modern electric technology with one of the most iconic classic cars ever built.
