The Amphenol MSD Fuse Receptacle is a high-voltage safety interface designed for electric vehicle and high-energy battery systems. It provides a secure mounting point for an MSD (Manual Service Disconnect) fuse plug, enabling safe isolation of high-voltage circuits during servicing, maintenance, or emergency conditions.
Designed to meet stringent automotive and industrial safety standards, the receptacle integrates both high-current power contacts and a high-voltage interlock loop (HVIL) interface. Removal of the MSD plug mechanically and electrically interrupts the HV circuit while simultaneously opening the interlock loop, ensuring the system is safely de-energised before access.
The rugged, touch-safe design supports high vibration environments and harsh operating conditions, making it ideal for EV conversions, battery packs, energy storage systems, buses, trucks, and mobile power platforms.
