The results are in!

Following our recap video on this 1978 Leyland Double Decker bus EV conversion, the team has completed our Electric Vehicle Range Report. The results are impressive, with this 10-tonne double decker bus managing to complete over 320km of highway driving, utilising efficient system design along with its 282.7kWh battery pack.

With most of the trip at its governed speed of 100km/h, this represents a baseline for the owner to travel across the country. And that’s just the highway result. With more urban and rural driving making the most of regenerative braking, we expect a usable range of 400km+.

Did we mention it has solar installed on the roof? Making this trip and many others able to be completed at zero cost and zero emissions. Electric Conversions play an important role in fleet transitions, and a real alternative to simply rebuilding a diesel engine mid-life.
