Designed for residential EV charging, the IQ Home combines solar integration, intelligent power balancing and smart connectivity to help maximise available energy while reducing the risk of overloading your home’s electrical supply.
Available in 7kW Single Phase and 22kW Three Phase configurations, the charger includes a tethered 5m Type 2 cable and CT clamps for monitoring household energy usage and excess solar generation.

Actual charging speed will depend on your vehicle’s onboard AC charging capacity, available electrical supply and charger configuration.
Smart Solar Charging
The Ocular IQ Home uses Current Transformer (CT) clamps to monitor the flow of electricity into and out of your home.
This allows the charger to identify available power and excess solar generation, helping your EV make better use of energy that may otherwise be exported to the grid.
CT clamps are included, along with a 20m cable to provide flexibility between the charger location and your distribution board.
Intelligent Power Balancing
The IQ Home continuously monitors your home’s available electricity and can adjust EV charging output according to household demand.
When high-demand appliances such as air conditioning or water heating are operating, the charger can reduce its power output to help prevent overloading the home’s electrical supply.
As household demand decreases, the charger can automatically increase charging power again according to the available capacity.
This allows your EV to charge at the highest suitable rate while working within your home’s available electrical supply.

Using the IQ Home with a Home Battery
If your property has a stationary home battery, excess solar generation may be directed to the battery before being exported to the grid.
Because the IQ Home uses CT clamps to monitor power being imported and exported, the amount of excess solar available for EV charging may depend on how your home battery is configured and prioritised.
Solar Assist mode can be useful in these installations, allowing the charger to supplement available excess solar with a small amount of energy from the grid or battery when required.
Installation
The Ocular IQ Home should be installed and configured by a suitably qualified electrical professional. Your property’s electrical supply, solar system and any home battery should be assessed to determine the appropriate charger configuration.
